i was cleaning off my chain from all the dried up grease and crap yesterday. was almost done, spinning the tire and holding a rag on the chain, when the rag caught and sucked my right index finger into the gear.

yeah, major pain. it just got the fingertip- crushed the nail.

it's looks worse then it is. only hurts now when i bump it or apply pressure. but that is to be expected.

all i got to do is keep it clean, change the gauze regularly. and wait for the nail to fall off.


too bad i'll never have a regular nail again, there.

Loose fabric and moving parts....there's a reason to not wearing gloves at the lathe and things like that.

Good thing you didn't decide to save effort by just letting the engine run......

A kid I used to work with was (still is probably) missing most of the last three toes on his foot because he decided to jumo on the back of his big brothers' dirtbike right before big brother gunned it...
