Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.

Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.

MUSIC?!

Post by Tank » Mon Feb 15, 2010 11:32 pm

Music suggestions now being accepted for my aerial dance student recital.
I'm being told I need to train for it even if I won't be here. I'm not a fan of the idea as I sometimes like to spend class spinning around upside down until I feel I'm gonna puke.
Once music and moves are picked I have to take it seriously .

Tell me what songs you think might be cool or just so effed up that it would be awesome.
So far I have not been given any rules as to what I can play.
I'm sure this will change after I give them a cd  .

Start listing your songs!
If it gets picked you might get to hear about how I got seriously injured falling off the trapeze or hoop while performing to your song :P

I was just talking the other day about how this would be an awesome song for an aerial performance.

http://www.last.fm/music/Estradasphere/ ... rab+Battle

Better get that stamina up, though, coz it's a loooong track.
(Or, ya know, cut off most of the intro, which lasts until 2:53, or make it a doubles act or something.)

Hell, just download their album Quadropus. Most of it would make great aerial performance music, AND it's fucking badass anyway.

Well...

I am doing a doubles trapeze piece and a solo trapeze or hoop piece with the possibility of also doing a fabric piece.

For the rest of you that have no idea about what aerial dance is I'm looking up videos to help you out.

Heheheee

I knew this might become a very amusing topic.

So today in class it was suggested that I consider doing a drunken clown routine. Every person in our class is doing something slow and pretty or cute burlesque playful and I'm told to go with drunken clown. I'm sure this will make mom real proud!

I can do 2 routines and it has not yet been decided if I'll do a silly routine and a "real" one.

I was thinking about using A.F.I "God Called In Sick Today"
for one of the acts but I'm really torn after hearing some metal polka the other day.

I have one more week to decide.
