Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.

Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.

Some unpleasant miscreant was firing incessant database queries at our server, which forced the Legal Department of our hosting company, via their Abuse subdivision, to shut us down. No I have none.
All I can do it button the hatches, and tighten up a few things. Such as time limits on how long you may take to compose a post and hit Debauch! As of 24/01/10, I've set that at 30 minutes for now.

There's a whole series of these. And they're all fantastically amusing.

They could have done better if they'd just torn it to pieces with their bare hands.

Funny nontheless.

I really, really, really, REALLY want to own my own blimp hangar! Just imagine the indoor supermotard racetrack you could build...with space left over for a home...and an entertainment center...and indoor motorcycle storage...and a large garage space, with adequate room for tools...just sayin'

This spot was really cute, however they shoulda used a live chicken, for greater tension. An "ex" chicken doesn't fear Dokken as much.

I think it was way funnier that they just humped it into flames with a single pelvic thrust.

That made me laugh.

I never really expected to like Kimbo Slice, but then I watched him on Ultimate Fighter and I really respected the way he busted his ass trying to learn and how humble he was in the process. His sense of humor here just makes me like him even more.
These commercials are cracking me up!

Oh god, don't hurt the caterpillar. I wanted it to unleash some magic caterpillar powers like the unicorn did. That would have been jangleplatz. I cracked up when he started flexing his pecs under the "Allow" and "Deny" buttons. And I have no clue who Dokken is, and I've never heard their music. I was a wee lass in the '80s. But I thoroughly enjoyed the hump flames.

There's another video in which it does - the deny version:

The Deny versio of the chicken vs. Dokken is quite good, if not better:

And there I was thinking Dokken would ruin the chicken's shit just by playing their back catalog to it.

Now I am just waiting to see Scorpions versus a filet mignon video that I have often dreamed of. I bet they'd rock that piece of meat like a hurricane.

I saw Dokken on my 13th birthday in 1988. It was the Monsters of Rock in the Seattle Kingdome (R.I.P.). In order of appearance: Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions, and Van Halen.

Much as I liked Dokken at the time, they sucked (as did everybody that day but the Scorpions).

Speaking of the Monsters of Rock, this is still the best opening 1:45 in music video history.

The rest of the video I can take or leave. In fact I hereby propose that The Indubitable Senator from East Goatfuck be henceforth officially referred to as "Electric-TwangerGeek". I used to love TS, still do truth be told.
