Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.

Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.

A cursory search shows zero instances of 'fender bunny'.

Or it did a minute ago...

I don't understand how this can be funnier than it has a right to be, and yet, not funny at all.

I think I just like the guys delivery, and timing. The rest is. . . well . .. expected. Thats what I don't get about these Shit X Say videos. Most of them don't really take any insight... just basic awareness. Having it condensed and distilled doesn't make it funny really. Just..... factual? *shrug*

edit- hooligan gixxer stoppie was good, and made me giggle. Reminded me of this:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5rKYL0tW-Ek" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Which I appreciate, because it /does/ something with the jargon, rather than just cataloging.

I'm still trying to get 'lets get the bacon delivered!" into common parlance. 8)

I think it pretty much sums up most internet forums and bike nights. The random spewing of catch phrases and words to sounds like one is in the know. Still get a good laugh out of it after quite a few viewings.

Edit: It's in the "Motorcycle Biker's Dictionary", so there you have it.

At 9:49 a.m. PST, during a segment of the lecture addressing test-preparation, the following exchange was overheard in Professor Zer0's class: "Once all those external obstacles are taken care of, the table's set, and all you gotta do is to figure out how to get the bacon delivered."

"YEAH!" yelled out one student in the back.
