If you cannot Debauch because you get an IP blacklist error, try Debauching again time. It may work immediately, it may take a few attempts. It will work eventually, I don't think I had to click debauch more than three times. Someone is overzealous at our hosting company, but only on the first couple of attempts.
If you have problems logging in, posting, or doing anything else, please get in touch.
You know the email (if you don't, see in the registration info below), you know where to find the Administerrerrerr on the Midget Circus.
Some unpleasant miscreant was firing incessant database queries at our server, which forced the Legal Department of our hosting company, via their Abuse subdivision, to shut us down. No I have none.
All I can do it button the hatches, and tighten up a few things. Such as time limits on how long you may take to compose a post and hit Debauch! As of 24/01/10, I've set that at 30 minutes for now.
To restrict further overloads, any unregistered users had to be locked out.
How do we know who is or isn't an unregistered user?
By forcing anyone who wants in to Log In.
Is that annoying?
Yes. But there's only so much the Administerrerrerr can do to keep this place running.

click her for the instant fix

First fix:
Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.
Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.
PLEASE NOTIFY THE ADMINISTERRERRERR ABOUT ANY PROBLEMS!
- open the menu at the top
- hit New Posts to see what's actually new and browse the new stuff from there
- go back to the Forum Index
- open the menu at the top again
- click Mark forums read
this will zero the unread anything for you, so you can strive forth into the exciting world of the new cookie thing.

that looks fucking jangleplatz! And hell no! Ah, if I was only 15 years younger and less crippled, it would be worth just for the lovely Romanian women and bragging rights. Damn that looks fun.

How soon until we can grow new limbs in a lab for transplant again?
OH, and WTF is with the ambulances? Volxwagen buses? No shit? Those things are as reliable as um.... a Yugo?

Oh, that's just fucking...THUNDERDOME!!!
I mean, they have fucking bears and wolves in the carpathian mountains - and they think it's necessary to add danger with a stage on an concrete deathtrap. Wow.
BTW, Dan, that was a T3, with the watercooled pushrod engine these things are able to take a punishment. Friend of mine had one, bought used from the city where the work-crews basically didn't bother about maintenance at all. Had been running without coolant for several years, and eventually he figured out that the nasty knocking noise was from the oil not having been changed in a bout a decade. He eventually sold it to an enthusiast who pimped it out. Still running.
There are tons of them around here, definitely more than of pretty much all other cars they stopped making nearly 20 years ago (apart from Mercs and Toyotas, mind).

OK, so after a good deal of time watching the youtube videos on the Romaniacs website, I've decided that there's no way in HELL I could do half of the stuff in that race. If I had the next year to dedicate solely to saddle time, then *maybe* (big maybe). Unfortunately, I have to spend all of my time doing school work, instead of riding my motorbike and DH bike, so probably not.
Not to mention the fact that it's, well, in Romania. I'd have to get there, pay the thousand euros for entry/accommodations, plus buy a bike that would likely end up completely fucking destroyed by the end of the race.
Epic? Yes.
Doable? Doubt it.

That was awesome, looks like brutal fun! Europe seems to have all of the super gnarly off-road races. The terrain looks tough but doable, the kick is 1,000 miles of it. I think just finishing day one would be major bragging rights.
