You misundertsand. They are not against healthcare, free, universal or otherwise. They are against giving healthcare, free or universal, to poor people. Poor including the lower middle class, what's left of it. If they suddenly get the certainty that, whatever happens, if they get sick, they will get proper treatment and won't go bankcrupt over it, they might get some ideas into their heads, ideas that are dangerous to the interests of the rich. Like a decent minimum wage, paid vacations. They might stop breaking their backs working to pay doctor's bills and instead go back to school. They might find that, after sixty years or so working, they can suddenly afford to retire. They might look at their very unsatisfying shit job at a shit employer with shit pay but at least health benefits and find that no, they don't need these specific health benefits anymore, Obamacare takes care of that. They suddenly have a big degree of extra freedom of choice in choosing a job, pack up and leave.
Proper universal healthcare removes a significant incentive to allowing someone to exploit you, thus potentially being very costly to the large corporations that rich people have invested in.
It increases the value of other work incentives, like a safe workplace, good pay and all of that, it increases the amount of competition between employers to lure applicants. The great army of the unemployed, that great reserve of cheap labor anyone working as an employee always has to compete with is effectively slightly depleted, replacing a troublesome worker you have thrown out becomes just a bit more difficult.

If you cannot Debauch because you get an IP blacklist error, try Debauching again time. It may work immediately, it may take a few attempts. It will work eventually, I don't think I had to click debauch more than three times. Someone is overzealous at our hosting company, but only on the first couple of attempts.

Some unpleasant miscreant was firing incessant database queries at our server, which forced the Legal Department of our hosting company, via their Abuse subdivision, to shut us down. No I have none.
All I can do it button the hatches, and tighten up a few things. Such as time limits on how long you may take to compose a post and hit Debauch! As of 24/01/10, I've set that at 30 minutes for now.
To restrict further overloads, any unregistered users had to be locked out.
How do we know who is or isn't an unregistered user?
By forcing anyone who wants in to Log In.
Is that annoying?
Yes. But there's only so much the Administerrerrerr can do to keep this place running.

Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.
Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.
PLEASE NOTIFY THE ADMINISTERRERRERR ABOUT ANY PROBLEMS!
- open the menu at the top
- hit New Posts to see what's actually new and browse the new stuff from there
- go back to the Forum Index
- open the menu at the top again
- click Mark forums read
this will zero the unread anything for you, so you can strive forth into the exciting world of the new cookie thing.

If it changed nothing but the bill? fuck yea. I might have even continued the appointments, maybe I didn't stick it out long enough. Doesn't really matter; in hindsight, I made teh correct decision as it was already too expensive after the first visit.
I got the itemized bill I requested. To think, I thought they were giving me those band-aids.. er, excuse me, Mepilex Border 3x3's and Puracol AG 2x2 packing. If I'd realized I was getting charged, I wouldn't have gladly taken what was given, I would have said 'just this one will last until next week' and then I would have brought whatever extra back... I still have a few left. At $126.50 for a box of ten, though.. I have to say I didn't get ripped off quite so blatantly at $14.88 a piece. $2.23 mark-up, and I'm talking over ebay, in bulk. Singles are $14.99 - $16.99. So it was cheaper than ebay. Though I still think we're all being had...
