Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.

Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.

Forgive me if this has been posted before, I'm typically a bit late finding stuff like this.

I have "+4 Moxie, +6 Zeal, and -2 Pomp" (didn't know I had to have 'pomp'). Sez here that I ride a FJR1300. But I like my roadster...and I don't care what I look like when I ride it down the road with the left blinker on...

If there were absolutely anything to be afraid of, don't you think I would have worn pants?

You scored 6 moxie, 8 zeal, and -2 pomp!

Strangely, the '03 R1 is one of my favorite Japanese sportbikes (close second to the '05 GSX-R 1000)

Right here. But Not because you're riding a Sportster. The real reason is because you're so insecure that you think a Harley 883 Sporty somehow makes you less than "Manly".

Yamaha FJR1300
You scored 3 moxie, 8 zeal, and -1 pomp!
You have the characteristics of a master street rider. On the way to work, your love for riding sometimes leads you to take the long way. The 50-miles-of-back-roads long way. You live for the perfect road, and plan vacations around riding.
You need a bike that can handle your addiction to the twisties as well as comfortably carry two on a weekend trip through the mountains. Your bike is the FJR1300. Can I borrow it someday?

Has anyone gotten a BMW on this test yet? :?
Nice choice, though.Image

600cc Sportbike
You scored 9 moxie, 2 zeal, and 1 pomp!
You are a squid. Your bike is a 600cc Japanese Sportbike. Take your pick, it really doesn't matter, since you're going to wad it.

You are the primary source of extra bits of fairing plastic on eBay.

When you're riding in the mountains, you have a hard time keeping up with that Olde Pharte on a Triumph Thruxton without blowing the centerline in the twisties and going WFO on every straight. (You're not a bad rider, but you're just not as good as you think you are.)

On a hot day, you're likely to be seen weaving through highway traffic at warp speed, wearing sneakers and a t-shirt blowing up your back.

The good news for you is that this is a temporary phase in your riding career. You will either (a) buzzsplat or (b) become more acutely conscious of your own mortality after a few minor but eye-openingly lucky crashes.

Take it to the track. You'll live longer.

As long as it's flat black, I'm cool with that.

It also mentioned that I'd probably like a standard, like an SV, or ducati monster. Hmmm

I too have been comdenmed to the 883 Sporty. Yeahh , No. I am surely no track all star but I know that I could make an R1 move like 75% or them will never get to. I'm considering my options of "Hate mail" for the author.

Has anyone gotten a BMW on this test yet?

If I change 3 answers I was wishy washy on;

BMW R1150GS
You scored 7 moxie, 7 zeal, and -4 pomp!
You tried the racing thing for a while, but it honestly bored you. I mean really, you just keep going 'round and 'round the track, where's the challenge there?
Your current favorite bike is the R1150GS. You look for dirt roads to ride on the way to work. You secretly dream of riding to Prudhoe Bay.

Of all the personality types, you are most likely to have several Iron Butt Saddlesore 1000's under your belt.

from using them as a rabbit, to setting my own pace.

Bling?
from Huh? to tasteful equivalent

and Are you hoping that your test result is a Harley-Davidson?
